How to Set Up Site Reference Types
Define the site ID labels your business uses across projects and sites.
Overview
Site reference types are the unique ID labels you use for sites — for example, a client-specific reference like an MBNL ID. Each project can have it's own set of reference types, and every site needs at least one site reference value.
How to Access
Go to Main Menu → Human Resources → Company HR Settings, then open Site Reference Types on the left (towards the bottom of the list).
Adding Reference Types
- Add each reference type your business uses.
- Labels do not need to include the word ID — XMP adds ID automatically at the end.
- Set a default site reference for your most common type.
- Save your changes.
When you create a project, select only the reference types that project needs. When you add a site, enter at least one reference value.
