How to Set Up Project Types

Define project types in Company HR Settings for more specific reporting.

Overview

Project types let you classify projects for reporting — for example, by work type (build, design, survey) or by department (electrical, rigging, groundworks). Types are more specific than project groups.

How to Access

Go to Main Menu → Human Resources → Company HR Settings, then open the Project Types tab on the left.

Adding Project Types

  1. Add types that match how you report on work — for example, Build, Design, Survey, or department names.
  2. Save your changes.
  3. Assign a project type when editing each project on the Projects table.

Use project types for detailed reporting and project groups for broader grouping. See Understanding Project Groups and Project Types.
