What Are Reports in XMP
Understand how reports view and edit milestone data across projects and sites.
Overview
Reports in XMP are how you view, enter, and edit milestone data across your projects and sites. They are central to tracking progress from beginning to end and giving each team a view of their workload.
What Reports Can Do
Reports range from broad to highly focused:
- Broad — all milestones for all projects
- Focused — a conditioned report showing only sites in particular states
At the simplest level, a report is a view of milestones over time — like a spreadsheet tailored to your process.
Example: Finance Workflow
A finance user might use a report that shows only sites that are build complete but not yet invoiced. Each day they see which sites they need to invoice, and as they log invoice actuals, sites drop off the list automatically when conditions are set up.
Example: Build Pre-Start Workflow
A build pre-start Ops Manager might use a report to see which sites they need to organise access, kit, and outages for. As they complete the checklist, they can log the actual date on the milestone to show when the site is ready for build.
