How to Submit a Timesheet on the Mobile App
A step-by-step guide for engineers to submit timesheets from the XMP mobile app.
Overview
If you've been scheduled against a job that requires a timesheet, you'll need to submit your hours through the XMP mobile app. The app pulls in your scheduled work automatically, so you just need to confirm your start and finish times and submit. This keeps your hours logged against the right job without any manual data entry from the office.
Submitting a Timesheet
- Open the XMP mobile app and go to Time Sheets
- Select the day you want to submit for — your scheduled job details will appear automatically
- Set your start time and finish time
- Add any notes if needed (for example, if you arrived late or left early)
- Tap "Submit"
Once submitted, a tick icon appears next to that day, confirming your timesheet has been recorded.
Multiple Jobs in a Day
If you're scheduled against more than one job on the same day, each job will appear in your timesheet list for that day. You'll need to submit a separate timesheet entry for each job, with the correct start and finish times for each.
Idle Days
On days where you're not on a scheduled job — for example, a yard day or office day — you can still submit a timesheet. Select the idle day type (e.g., "Yard") from the options, set your times, and submit as normal.
