How to Record Miscellaneous Certificates
Log ID cards, inspections, and inductions that sit outside a person's training disciplines.
Overview
Alongside the certificates that sit inside a user discipline, XMP lets you record miscellaneous certificates against a person. Use these for items that are still useful to keep on file, but are less strict than a training requirement — for example ID cards, inspections, or inductions to your own systems or a client's.
Set up disciplines and core certificates first. See How to Assign Training Disciplines to Staff and How to Manage Training Certificates.
How to Access
- Go to Main Menu → Training → Profiles.
- Find the person in the table, or filter by name on the right-hand side.
- Click the magnifying glass to open their training profile.
Miscellaneous certificates are managed on that profile, separately from the discipline requirements in the main table.
What to Record Here
Miscellaneous certificates are a good fit when you need a record, but the item is not part of a job discipline:
- Photo ID or site ID cards
- Vehicle or equipment inspections logged against a person
- Company or client inductions
Keep genuine training requirements — the ones that expire, affect scheduling, or belong to a role — in a discipline instead. See How to Create Training Requirements.
