How to Create and Use Custom Schedule Labels
Add coloured labels to schedule entries so you can spot capacity, clients, or jobs that still need attention.
Overview
Custom labels add a short, coloured tag to jobs on the schedule. Use them to see at a glance which schedule entries still need personnel, which client the work belongs to, or which jobs need a follow-up later.
Typical uses include:
- Jobs that still need personnel added - Try a "Team TBC" label
- Temporary bookings that must be updated later - Try a "Temp" label
- Key clients, so you can see how much of the week's capacity they are using - Try a label per client, with their brand colour.
- Project names, to quickly see project workload on the calendar - Try a project shorthand label like "EV Installs" or "Cab Swap".
- Team size, to sense how many jobs need a larger crew - Try "3 Man", "2 Man" and "1 Man" labels.
Creating Custom Labels
- Go to Main Menu → Schedule.
- In the top right, click "Actions", then "Custom labels".
- Create as many labels as you need. Give each one a short, clear name.
- On the right-hand side, choose a colour for each label.
Assigning Labels to a Job
- Go to Main Menu → Schedule and click an existing job.
- At the top of the entry, use the custom labels dropdown to choose one or more labels.
You can assign as many labels as you like to a schedule entry, but only two show by default on the calendar view.
Removing Labels
Remove labels one by one with the "X" next to each label, or click the "X" on the whole custom labels field to clear them all.
