How to Assign Access Tasks

Assign access work to yourself or a colleague so it is clear who owns each request.

Overview

The User column on the access task table stays empty until someone is assigned. Assigning a task makes it clear who is organising access for that job, which is especially useful when two or more people share the workload.

Open the list at Main Menu → Tasks → Access. See How to View and Filter Access Tasks if you need to find a specific job first.

Assigning a Task to Yourself

  1. Find the task in the table.
  2. On the right-hand side, click the central "Assign to Me" button.

Your initials appear under User. You can then filter the table to show only your own work.

Assigning a Task to Someone Else

  1. Click the access task to open it.
  2. In the panel on the right, choose the user who should own the task.

Once a user is assigned, you can filter the list by that person (or several people) using the filters in the top left. This makes it easier to divide access work across the team and see what is still unassigned. Leave a task unassigned until someone picks it up if you want it to stay visible to the whole group.
