How to Add Filter Conditions to Reports

Set automatic report filters by milestone values, people, and multi-condition logic.

Overview

Filter conditions apply automatic filters in report settings so that the report updates as milestone data changes, without manual column filtering each time. Use them for personal task lists, dynamic department views, or finance queues.

How to Access

Create a new report or edit an existing one. In the project area (second main section), click Filters, then create filter conditions and condition groups.

Simple Example: Person Responsible

If a milestone assigns a person responsible for a site:

  1. Add a condition on your Person Responsible milestone.
  2. Set the status option to equal Person A, Person B, or Person C (as needed).
  3. Click Save to apply the filter.

When tasks are assigned to each person, the report shows only their work — useful for automatic task lists by person. You can use this for departments too.

Advanced Example: Build Complete, Not Invoiced

For finance to see sites ready to invoice:

  1. Condition 1: Milestone Build Complete, field Actual, condition Not Blank. This means the build is complete.
  2. Click the+ Condition button.
  3. Condition 2: Milestone Invoiced (or Final Account Status), field Actual, condition Is Blank. This means the site is not yet invoiced.
  4. Save the report.

As builds complete, sites appear on the report. When finance logs invoice actuals, sites are removed from the report automatically.
