How to Add Comments and Issues to Access Tasks
Leave progress notes for colleagues, or log issues that need resolving before access is complete.
Overview
Comments and issues keep the conversation about a request on the access task itself. Use a comment to report progress or leave a note for a colleague. Use an issue when something needs fixing — a change of contact, missing paperwork, or a restriction that is blocking access.
Open the task from Main Menu → Tasks → Access, then scroll to the comment section at the bottom.
Adding a Comment
- Type the message you want to save.
- Click "Add Comment".
- Choose "Add Comment" again to save it as a normal note.
The comment is stored with your name, so it is clear which colleague left each update. This is useful for handing over part-finished access work, or recording that you have chased a site contact.
Logging an Issue
Issues are a quicker way to log problems that come up while organising access. The table shows a tally of issues per task. In the comment section you can see which are still open and which are resolved.
- Type an explanation of the issue in the comment box.
- Click "Add Comment".
- Select "Add Issue".
That adds the issue, increases the counter on the main table, and gives you a place to resolve and close it as you work through the request.
